The weather in Xi'an is very different from that in Chengdu. It is more mild and a lot dryer in terms of humidity. I've seen a trend in the weather here: sunny in the morning, cloudy in the afternoon and clear skies in the evening. The temperature was a little chilly, understandably, because it is the beginning of November and Xi'an is located in a more northern part of China compared to Chengdu.
This week I saw a variety of birds, including the giant birds at Mt. Huashan. Since we spent most of the week in the city, though, I mostly just saw dogs and some local farm animals that were being prepared for the slaughterhouse. I also saw several cats in the Muslim Quarter of Xi'an.
