Not too far, I've only really been going to my college campus this week, which is about a half hour train ride one way.
Again, so far I haven't really been to many different parts of Japan. Although I've been all around Tokyo, it's only a small part of the country and there are so many other areas to go and experience.
I got around by walking and by train. There are so many different train lines, and they connect all over the country, so as a student, there's really no need for me to use any other form of transportation here, aside from walking. I do a lot more walking here than I did back in the US, but it's usually about a half hour at max. Anything longer than that I can usually go by train.
Probably Ikebukuro, which is a district of Tokyo with many stores and restaurants, and generally a lot to do. It's not too different from other parts of the city I've been to in the past, but since I spent most of the rest of this week getting school work done, it was a nice break!
