On the wall was a dial that adjusted the sound. It was interesting because sometimes it would turn up the volume of a clip nearby. Other times, it would be an increase of static sound to add to the mystery of the concepts presented. Our favorite room was one of many mirrors. Lights danced off the floor, reflected off the mirrors and shimmered across the ceiling. All around us dark colors shifted from red to black to green and more. We just stood there admiring it.
Now as I reflect on my time at the Cinecitta Studios in Rome, I feel as if I learned a lot about the Italian filmmaker, Federico Fellini. Now I have some new knowledge and passion to remember the topic of foreign film. Cinecitta left me with such a good impression in connection to art and media. I genuinely had a great time and would recommend it to everyone, especially anyone who loves film. They wouldn’t want to miss a place like this. Even in my hometown in Texas, I’ll remember my experience at the film museum.
