Poutine and Mexican Food in Canada

In Ottawa, the three tacos I tasted were perfect: carnitas and tinga de pollo, but my favorite was the pastor taco. I would return to eat in Si Señor, as the restaurant is within walking distance, just 15 minutes away.

El poutine es un mundo de sabores; la mezcla de ingredientes lo hace único y delicioso. Me sentí increíble al probarlo, ya que es una nueva comida que me gusta. Los tres tacos que probé estaban perfectos: carnitas y tinga de pollo, pero mi favorito fue el taco de pastor. Volvería a comer en Si Señor ya que son solo 15 minutos caminando.

How is the food prepared?:

Typically, poutine is a combination of ingredients, with fFench fries as the main component. Next, brown gravy, cheese curds, and sometimes meats are added.

The taco pastor (middle) contains pork marinated with annatto and peppers. The tinga de pollo taco (left) has chicken with chipotle sauce. While the carnitas taco (right) has pork with peppers. All the meat in the tacos is prepared on the grill. 

El poutine es una combinación de ingredientes con papas fritas como componente principal. Luego se agrega salsa, queso y, a veces, carnes. El taco pastor (centro) contiene carne de cerdo marinada con achiote y pimientos. El taco de tinga de pollo (izquierda) tiene pollo con salsa chipotle. En comparación, el taco de carnitas (derecha) tiene cerdo con pimientos. Toda la carne de los tacos se prepara a la parrilla.

Poutine is well connected to the Québécois culture, and they see it as a national symbol, although it has spread throughout Canada and the northern United States.
