My mother wakes me up, and a bus or cab takes me.

I eat lunch at school

Arabic. Al-salaam alaikum—which literally translates to "peace be upon you" —is how we greet someone.

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Muhammad, after the prophet of Islam, is the most common name for a boy. Amina and Fatima are two common names for girls.

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

Regular math, science, and language classes, as well as my favorite: Deen or Islamic religious studies classes.

What is your homework like?:

We have homework every day.

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

I like to play Kura Al-Qadm (Soccer).

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Our monarchs are beloved by Jordanians—especially Queen Rania who is known for her work with education and children.

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

I listen to Arabic pop music like Fares Karam's famous song Tanoura which means "skirt."

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

I would like to be a muhandis like my dad.
