During my time in Nairobi, my friends and I traveled all around the city. From national parks to art museums in forests, we made sure to see all that the city had to offer. The farthest we traveled was to visit a beautiful garden that was about an hour drive from where we were staying.
The farthest I have traveled on my journey so far was definitely from Cape Town to Nairobi, which is about an eight-hour plane ride, or 3,200 miles!
While I was in Nairobi, my friends and I got around using Uber. The Uber drivers were very friendly and gave us lots of advice on what to see in the city, how to stay safe and where to get the best food. In fact, some Uber drivers even taught me and my friends some Swahili!
The most interesting place I visited while in Nairobi was a tree house that was also an art museum. The building was very beautiful and located within a forest with many trees and wildlife. The museum included art from all over Kenya, which included life-size statues of pineapples, people and more. I had never visited a museum that was so unique, and I really enjoyed my time there.
