As you continue to learn about traditions around the world that may at first seem strange to you, I hope that you will remember that those traditions are important to other people and should be taken seriously. Their tradition is not better or worse than ours; they are simply different. Someone in Spain may think it is crazy that in the United States, we normally eat lunch at school!
Most importantly, I hope that following my journey has encouraged you to want to discover more about the world. Traveling is an amazing and cool opportunity! There is so much of the world to see! I hope that you have the opportunity to travel in your lifetime. It could be a family vacation, a school trip to study or working in another country.
I will be working in Tenerife for the rest of the school year until June. I wish you a happy holiday and a wonderful new year!
