This week I have stayed mostly in Kiel, but right now I am visiting my friend in Bremen, which is a town that is a few hours away by train.
I have traveled around 3,800 miles from New York to Kiel, and this week, I traveled an additional approximately 70 miles to visit my friend!
Normally, I use my bicycle to commute to work and the grocery store. However, I got a flat tire this week and so had to take the local bus until I could fix it!
I really have enjoyed visiting the seals (Seehund in German, which directly translates to "Sea-dog") in the morning down by the waterfront. It is a great incentive to get out of my house early in the morning!
Getting to my friend this weekend was challenging due to the storm, but after many cancelled trains, I was finally able to reach her! Sometimes, traveling takes a lot of persistence.
