Can you believe that we’ve been on this journey for a couple of weeks now? I’ve been living in Pamplona for a little more than two months, and I’ve learned a lot about Spain, the culture, Castellano and traveling! I’m super thankful that you all were here with me on this journey.
I don’t know if you knew, but by following my journey, I explored and learned a lot more about Spain’s culture than if you guys weren’t with me. I’ve learned that sometimes, you just need a little bit of a push to get the ball rolling, and in this case, you guys were the little push of encouragement to force me to step out of my comfort zone.
I was really scared to leave my friends and my comfy house in Los Angeles. On the way to the airport, I cried because a part of me thought that it was going to be my last time seeing my friends and loved ones. I wanted to turn back, to return to my warm bed and to stay home and be content, but it wasn’t a choice.
So far, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I just finished my first solo trip from Pamplona to Bordeaux and back. I had a lot more confidence and a higher ability to communicate in Castellano than I originally thought.
