Oi! Hey! My name is Cecilia Reis. I am 22 years old and just graduated from Texas A&M University with degrees in Business Honors and Management, a certificate in International Business, and a minor in French. I was born in Brasilia, Brazil and moved to the United States when I was two years old. Since then, I've moved around the U.S. and have been living in Austin, Texas since 2016.
Growing up in an immigrant and blended household has shown me how much of the world there is to see. Traveling has always been one of my favorite activities, especially since it usually meant getting to reunite with our family that lived far away. In college, I expanded on this passion and realized I loved it for more reasons than just getting to see my family (although that was wonderful). I love travel because it allows me to connect with the global community that we are all a part of!
In my final year of college, I decided to lean into this realization and apply to be a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Brazil. I am thrilled to have received this grant so that I can return to my home country, this time with the opportunity to contribute the valuable skill of the English language. I cannot wait to share this journey in this beautiful country with you!
