It was private, and it seemed to be clean. I didn’t have a lock for my capsule room, but there was a curtain for privacy. I stayed on an all-female floor and people stayed to themselves. This was a particularly memorable moment on my trip.
I rarely read any books in port. Instead, I tried to take advantage of every second I was in the country. Even when I traveled on the train, I tried not to look at my phone: instead, I just wanted to be present in the moment and take in the scenery.
I didn't play any games or sports in Japan. I got my workout from walking pretty much everywhere.
