I traveled to and from the study area this week. It was only about 15 minutes away. We mostly stayed in the Wilsons Promontory the entire time.
My longest trip was a three hour long ride from Melbourne to the Wilsons Promontory National Park. We will mainly be staying on the field for three weeks before going back to the closest city, called Foster. This is where we'll be able to stock up on groceries.
We got around using a pick-up truck. That's the only way we can truly go places since the park is quite big. Traveling any other way would likely take too long.
The most interesting place I visited this week was definitely the study site. I got to see so many different species and familiarize myself with the different data collection methods we will be using to collect data on kangaroos, like their measurements.
