Hi! My name is Chayla Rowley and I have both Choctaw (indigenous to the U.S.) and European ancestry. I am living and studying in Ireland at the moment. I grew up all over the world, living in places like Mexico, France, and several different African countries. Ireland, however, is brand new to me.
I went to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I got my Bachelors and Masters of Science in Civil Engineering degrees. I focused my studies on helping people in developing communities. When I graduated, I worked for the Department of Agriculture to help people take care of their land, water and animals. I also volunteered with Girl Scouts, youth groups and other kid-focused groups.
Now, thanks to a Fulbright scholarship, I am learning about refugees at Dublin City University in Ireland. I am excited to share what that means with you. I am also excited to explore Ireland together and to learn about your lives! Let's go!
