Donations keep our organization running. This financial support pays our staff, keeps our buildings running, buys food and medicine for the animals in our care, and helps us continue our research to uncover more ways to help cheetahs in the wild. We wish it didn't take money to do what we do, but unfortunately, it does. So we always need help with this part!
Believe it or not, some of our best supporters are kids, just like you! We've had kids ask for donations to CCF for their birthdays or other holidays (you can choose it as a birthday fundraiser on Facebook too!), do bake sales, have lemonade stands, make cards and sell them to friends and family, and all sorts of other creative ways! Maybe as a class, you could come up with something to do to help raise money for cheetahs?
We also offer sponsorships on our website, including a specific livestock guarding dog or cheetah in Namibia, as well as the Somaliland Program. These sponsorships are monthly, and depending on which one you pick, you get several updates yearly on the animal you choose. These make great presents and are a fun way to connect with CCF from afar, all while helping us keep up and running!
Engage!
Sometimes, CCF staff (including Dr. Marker!) go around and do talks at zoos or various other places throughout the year. You can look for this information on our website under "Events" and see if any are near you! International Cheetah Day is December 4th every year, and you can find activities all over the world to help celebrate on www.internationalcheetahday.org.
It's also always good to visit your local zoo, especially if they have cheetahs.
