Anyone around the world can visit the cheetah capital of the world by using very common modes of transport, depending on where you're coming from. The most common transportation is car and public transportation. Depending on where you want to visit CCF, you will use both or one of these two modes. Namibia has great road networks and traveling by road is the most common way to get around in Namibia. People use either their private cars or public transport, which includes taxis, mini-buses and buses, to get around the city and travel from one town to another. Namibia only has one city, and that is the capital city of Windhoek. Namibia’s international airport is located 45 kilometers (28 miles) outside the city of Windhoek. So when you travel to Namibia from the U.S. by plane, you will land in Windhoek and the rest of your trip will be by car and public transportation.
We don’t have a diversity of public transport options, like the metro, tram or train, in Namibia. The only trains that run in Namibia are for transporting goods (not people). Not many people cycle either. The cheapest way to get around in the city or from one town to another is by taxi. Taxis are considered public transport in Namibia.
