It's been all clouds the past few weeks. The sun barely comes out, and on the chance that it does, it shines down on us for a few minutes before it returns beneath the clouds. As a consolation, the temperature has been gradually getting warmer, an indication that spring is on its way.
South Koreans sure love their coffee! Within one street, there are five or more cafes. For example, there are franchise cafes, small “mom and pop” cafes, and themed cafes. At Gangneung, within walking distance of the beach I visited, you can find the famous “coffee street” where the whole street was just full of coffee shops!
Among the themed cafés genre are animal-themed cafes. Yes, you can play with the animals while getting your caffeine fix, too! I recently visited a Raccoon Café since it was near my house. I love racoons (trash pandas as they are now being referred to), but as they are considered wild, petting one was something I never dreamed of doing.
