Ciao a tutti! Hi everyone! I’m Cheyenne Stewart, and I am studying for 4 months in Rome, Italy! I was born in Hungary, but I now live in Indiana. I’m a junior at the University of Notre Dame, and I study Neuroscience and Behavior. In Rome, I will take some classes about neuroscience, Italian history, and the Italian language. Plus, I’ll work in a hospital to learn about the Italian medical system. I'll even visit multiple cities in Italy to research how the English language is taught at the high school and university levels!
Growing up, I often had to travel to visit my family back in Hungary. By now, the airports feel like home, the planes are relaxing, and planning trips is so exciting! I decided to study abroad in Rome because I love the Italian culture, food, and lifestyle (especially the siestas, or times of rest during the day). It will be the best treat to stop for some gelato and pizza for lunch almost every day!
Other than traveling, I also love to learn languages (I speak English, Hungarian, and some Italian), cook healthy meals, and hike big mountains. Because I am the first person in my family to travel to so many countries, I feel very thankful for these opportunities and try to share them with my family whenever possible. Traveling opens your mind, heart, and soul to lots of adventures, cultures, and traditions that you’ll remember forever!
