Hi! My name is Chloe Bates. I'm 20 years old and I'm from Baltimore, Maryland. I study communication and Spanish at the University of Maryland, which is near Washington D.C. I'm currently studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain for the next three months to learn more about Spanish language and culture.
I've been studying Spanish for seven years and my goal is to one day be totally fluent, so this opportunity to live with a Spanish family and immerse myself in the culture is very exciting. Sevilla is a beautiful city in southern Spain. It's warm and sunny every single day! It's a lively city full of art, music, history, food, dance and horses (my favorite animals). I also love art history and architecture, so this city truly is a perfect match for me. Every day I learn something new about Spain, but also about myself and the similarities between Spain and the U.S.
