Although I know many different people in the U.S., I didn’t realize just how much more the world has to offer until I studied abroad. I have met Maltese artists, Spanish farmers and many more people from diverse countries.
Speaking with these people reminds me that we are all ultimately human. Our differences can bring us together rather than divide us. Cultural diversity brings the classroom beyond the textbook and into the real world.
