One of my favorite activities this week was dancing with strangers to music by a live band. Madrid is truly a city of community and connection. The recent warm weather has made opportunities to gather and connect even more common.
This week, I read a lot of news about the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. I am taking a U.S. history class and a Middle East regional studies course, which require me to stay up to date on recent news.
This week, I watched my friends play soccer under the sunset. Many of my friends will soon be returning to their home countries, so this was an especially beautiful memory.
There have also been many protests in Spain due to ongoing tensions both domestically and globally. For instance, there was an anti-war protest outside my apartment recently.
