Absolutely beautiful! The weather in the capital is slightly warmer than it is in my town of Luang Prabang, as it is slightly closer to the equator.
Mostly dogs and cats - there aren't many animals in the city of Vientiane.
The Mekong River. It separates Thailand and Laos and runs right alongside the city of Vientiane, which allows for a fantastic view of the sunset!
