Well, school starts at 8:30 each morning and ends at 3:30 each afternoon. I'm sure you get home a lot sooner*, but I usually don't get there until 5 or after. It depends on the traffic going downtown, time of year, and a whole lot of luck.
* I live right next door to the school building, which Jason is right in identifying as an easy commute!
I take the school bus, since it's way faster than the metro and I would never want to drive myself in the city center. I'm sure I'd be allowed to go by myself, but I've never run into that; I've always taken the bus with the few others who live around me.
When it's warm enough, my friends and I sit on the plaza and eat our food. Lately, though, we've had to just eat in our classrooms during break since it's so cold out.* And I love the protein salad, which is cheap but gets the job done.
* Our school doesn't have a dedicated cafeteria space. Students are given 30 minutes of free time each day. During this time, they can do wherever they want, wherever they want — including off campus!
We speak Greek and English, about a 50/50 mix. Our school is intent on the English immersion thing, so... some classes require we use it. In Greek, though, the simplest way to say "hello" is just "γειά" ("geia").
