To achieve this, I spoke with many locals who welcomed me into their community. Including their voices in my journals and field notes was very important because it is their home, culture and identity. I hope that, as you read the stories, you could sense their voices within them.
Los animo a mantener una curiosidad sobre el mundo que nos rodea. Hay muchas culturas fuera de la nuestra que pueden enseñarnos lecciones valiosas y ampliar (expandir) nuestra visión del mundo. Para mí, Guatemala ha hecho precisamente eso: abrirme los ojos a la inmensidad (grandeza) del mundo. Espero que esta experiencia despierte nuevas curiosidades, enriquecidas (aumentadas) por todo el conocimiento que han adquirido (conseguido).
