Nature News

I'll be riding in a camioneta (chicken bus), and I'll look out the window. Then, I'll see the farmers putting up the tarps or preparing the soil for their plants. This week, I got to see the actual plants growing rather than being protected by crops. For me, this is super cool, because it connects me to back home, where my dad is an avid gardener and uses techniques similar to that. Plus, hopefully, by June or July, my group of youth leaders will be ready to start their work project to build a garden.

Other Nature News from this week:

This week, my host mom has been preparing her terrace garden by slowly taking out old plants that are at the end of their flowering and preparing new flowers or plants to replace the old ones. However, it's been slow work with the family puppy breaking pots that house the plants.
