As previously mentioned, pastries of all kinds are a staple of daily Danish cuisine, and it isn't unusual to see a long line at the local Lagkagehuset (Danish bakery chain) in the middle of the day.
As for my Asian culinary adventures, most of my spices and ingredients are imported from, well, Asia. But of course, they're sold locally in specialty exported goods stores.
