Fall has officially kicked into high gear in Ourense, which means that every morning this week began with dense fog, especially in the hills around the city. It remained cloudy most days even after the fog burned off, and it rained four days this week. We did have beautiful weather this past weekend when my friend Alden visited. Temperatures were in the 70s on Saturday and Sunday, and it was sunny on Saturday after the fog burned off.
In Ourense, I saw a lot of pigeons. I also saw some ducks and a peacock at the Xardín del Posío. At the park in the center of Monforte de Lemos, I saw ducks, swans and geese swimming around in the pond and walking around on the grass.
