A Day in the Life of Young Bill

Introduction:

Bill and I became fast friends when we shared a delicious dinner together at his parents' restaurant. He is a thoughtful, caring and funny thirteen-year-old kid from Can Tho, Vietnam. Bill graciously accepted my request to interview him about life as a youngster in Vietnam. I hope you enjoy learning about Young Bill!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

"For breakfast, I eat rice with eggs. For lunch, I eat rice with different kinds of meat (beef, lobster or shrimp). For dinner, I eat rice with fried frog."

"My house is pretty normal. My dad built a restaurant on the side of my house a few years ago. We have two bedrooms, two restrooms and one kitchen."

What chores do you have at home?:

"I clean my room and pack up my school stuff so everything is clean and neat."

What jobs do your parents have?:

"My parents are restaurant owners. They have been restaurant owners for the past three years. Before that, my dad built houses and my mom worked at a hospital."

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:
