A Journey Shared, A Dream Realized

As I look ahead, my future plans are focused on becoming a nurse—a career rooted in compassion, service, and connection. Just as I’ve embraced the spirit of discovery in Seoul, I plan to carry that same curiosity and openness into my nursing journey. I hope to travel more, to see new corners of the world, and to continue learning from the people and places I encounter.

To My Students:

You are enough. You are more than capable. Be bold, be brave, and push through every challenge that comes your way. Right now, the world may seem vast and full of obstacles, but believe me, the possibilities are endless if you keep pushing forward. I never thought I’d travel the world or study abroad, but through persistence and the kindness of others, I found opportunities that made my dreams come true.

Surround yourself with people who uplift you, seek out resources like Reach the World and the Gilman Scholarship, and don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith. I wish you all the best in this exciting chapter of your lives. Keep dreaming, keep growing, and never stop exploring. The world is waiting for you.

With gratitude and encouragement,
Deborah Cobourne
