As my semester abroad in Seoul comes to a close, I am so grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you all. Over the past few months, I’ve told you about life in Seoul—how its intricate transportation system connects millions of people, the serene green spaces hidden amidst the bustling city, and even my travels to historic Gyeongju. Through this experience, I’ve been reminded of how diverse, vibrant, and interconnected our world truly is.
I’ve always dreamed of exploring the world, but as a low-income student, I never imagined I’d have the chance to travel so extensively during college. This dream came true because of the incredible people I met along the way who believed in me, encouraged me, and guided me toward opportunities like the Gilman Scholarship. The Gilman Scholarship not only provided financial support but also affirmed the value of my goals and the potential I hold.
I am equally grateful to Reach the World for giving me this platform to share my story with you. Their mission to connect students with global experiences is truly inspiring, and I hope that through my reflections, I’ve encouraged you to dream big and explore the world in your own way.
