Traveler Bio

Hello! (Annyeonghaseyo!) My name is Deborah, but you can call me Deb. I am 22 years old and originally from New York City, where I grew up surrounded by the rich diversity of cultures, languages, and experiences. Living in such a multicultural environment, I developed a deep curiosity for how people live and connect across the globe. I’ve always been inspired to travel and learn about different ways of life, and that’s what led me to City College of New York, where I’m currently a senior completing my BA in Psychology. After graduation, I plan to pursue a nursing degree, combining my passion for understanding the human mind and body with my desire to care for others.

Right now, I’m living out a dream of studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea, for the fall 2024 semester. It’s a life-changing opportunity for me to step outside my comfort zone, immerse myself in a new culture, and learn more about the world—and myself—along the way. Each new place I’ve visited has helped me grow and discover new facets of my identity, and I’m grateful for the chance to keep expanding my horizons.

I’m excited to share my journey with you as I explore South Korea and continue to discover what the world has to offer. I can’t wait to hear about your experiences, too!
