I decided to be more conscious about my belongings and to keep nothing valuable in my pockets. Now I love using the metro because it runs every four minutes, making it very reliable. I also love to walk to school because this is a good form of exercise.
When I tried taking a bus for the first time, I did not know that the particular bus I needed to get on was closed for the night. When I tried to get on, the bus driver kept driving right past my waving hand because it was time for him to go home. I ended up paying for a taxi instead. Ultimately, I prefer the metro because it is free, quick and easy to use.
Taking public transportation is a part of the culture in Spain. Underground railway systems (metros) run all throughout the major cities in Spain. Metros offer the quickest way to get around these cities and buses are the cheapest and most common forms of public transportation. Most coastal towns and rural villages in Spain are only accessible by bus.
