Different, yet tasty food in Japan!

Introduction:

The food in Japan has been really good and tasty. There are a lot of things here that I don’t usually eat back home, so I’ve been trying new meals whenever I can.

What food did I try?:

I tried new foods like onigiri, okonomiyaki, and takoyaki. Onigiri is a rice ball, sometimes with something inside like chicken or fish, and I really liked it because it was simple and tasty. Okonomiyaki is kind of like a pancake with cabbage, meat and sauce. I liked okonomiyaki: it tasted a little different from the food I usually eat, which made it interesting to try. Takoyaki are small round balls with octopus inside. Although They takoyaki looked really cool, I didn’t like the taste as much as the other dishes I tried. It was still fun to try something new! I’ve also eaten sushi and ramen a few times in Japan. The sushi and ramen taste a lot better here than back home in Nebraska, and I really liked the Japanese versions of these dishes. I have also been making my own food sometimes, such as easy meals like rice with chicken or eggs. I eat a lot of rice now because it’s very common, easy to make and cheap in Japan. It’s been cool cooking some of my own meals while living here.
