As winter begins, the temperature is dropping. This past week, the highs were about 55 degrees Fahrenheit, and the lows, around 40 degrees Fahrenheit. There was some wind, making the air feel colder than the actual temperature. Today was the first rainy day in a few weeks, and I am excited about the light snow that should begin in a month!
The streets of Prague are filled with pigeons! It is fun to watch them bobble around and chase after bread crumbs. Everywhere I go, I also see people walking dogs, from greyhounds to pugs. Czech people love dogs, and Prague is a very dog-friendly city!
The Vltava River runs through Prague, and in the middle, there is an island called Střelecký Ostrov, which is accessible by bridge. This island is home to nutrias, large aquatic rats that swim in the river. At first, I was creeped out by these large (about cat-sized) aquatic rats, but they are actually incredibly cute!
