Traveling from Copenhagen to Milan is a little over 700 miles, and Como is a little farther north. I traveled by plane to Milan, which was a two hour flight. I then took an early morning train to do a day trip to Como, and that was only 50 minutes long!
Italy has been my farthest trip, followed closely by Norway and then Sweden. In a few weeks, I will be traveling to Munich, Germany and Amsterdam as well!
I have gotten used to both the metro and bus system here in Copenhagen. In Italy, I walked more, I took the train to Como and used the bus and metro to tour Milan.
While Lake Como was captivating, Milan's Duomo Catherdral was a sight to behold. I got tickets for the terrace tour and a visit inside the church. There are 250 narrow steps to climb to get to the top, but it was well worth it. The inside of the cathedral was beutifully deisgned, with intricate sculpted details and the stained glass windows were incredible!
