I live with three kids -- Frisly is 11, Tony is six, and Cristel is a baby, only two months old! Frisly and Cristel are siblings, and Tony is their cousin. Tony and Frisly were some of the first people I met when I moved to Los Tuices. My first night, we went to a funeral and they told me all the ghost stories they knew!
"For breakfast, it depends on the day, but usually we eat eggs or a soup of vegetables or noodles. Just like breakfast, lunch depends on the day. If it's Sunday we might eat a special food, like carne asada, fried chicken or beef or chicken soup. If it's a weekday or Saturday, we might eat leftovers from lunch or dinner the day before. Yesterday we ate quicoy soup with eggs, but we generally eat a little bit of everything."
For dinner, sometimes my mom doesn't know what to make. We might have hard boiled eggs or leftovers. But if it's Sunday, we'll have something special, like paches. Paches are like tamales but made of rice or potatoes. You put a sauce called recaldo in the middle with a piece of chicken, wrap it in a banana leaf and steam it in a pot until it's cooked. Some paches have spicy chile inside."
