Although most of my time is spent on the west coast of Ireland, in this album I've shared some of my experiences in the east! Come with me on my trips to Dublin, Kilkenny and the Wicklow Mountains.

The Ha'Penny Bridge in Dublin was given its name because there used to be a "ha-penny" (half penny) toll to walk across it!
In Dublin, there is an above ground rail system known as the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) train
This statue of Oscar Wilde (author of "The Picture of Dorian Gray") can be seen in Merrion Square, directly across from the author's childhood home in Dublin
The Long Room in the Old Library at Trinity College is considered one of the most impressive libraries in the world, housing 200,000 of Ireland's oldest books
There are currently 42 busts on view in the Long Room depicting famous writers, philosophers, scholars and statesmen
Rosalind Franklin, who discovered the helical structure of DNA, is one of only four women represented in the Long Room— all installed in 2023, 280 years after the collection began!
The Brian Boru harp, the oldest surviving harp in Ireland, is dated to the 15th century!
The charming town of Kilkenny is approximately an hour and a half from Dublin
