Some of my favorite songs I have been listening to this week are: "Somewhere Tonight" by Beach House, "Sin Sentimiento" by Grupo Niche, and "I Believe" by Chiliwack. I usually listen to Spanish music when I feel homesick because I feel more connected to my culture, or I watch some of my favorite music videos, such as "Tyrant" by Kali Uchis and "Norton Commander" by Men I Trust.
On February 20th, I went to the Lam Tsuen Well-wishing Festival located in Tai Po, which is in the New Territories of Hong Kong. I was able to write my wish on a piece of paper and throw it onto the "wishing tree". It was a great experience to dive deeper into tradition, and I had a delicious capybara-themed Thai milk tea.
I have not read anything for personal fun, but in my class, called Hong Kong Culture and Film, we have a lot of readings about Hong Kong. The readings in my class are very interesting because I am understanding more about how the architecture here, such as the rise of footbridges, is making the city less walkable and is feeding into isolation culture.
I have not played any games or sports here. I usually just go to the gym and do my own workouts, or I run.
