The furthest I traveled this week was to Peng Chau island. It was nice to get away from the bustling and noisy city and be in nature for a while. Even though it was a cloudy day with sprinkles of rain, it was such a fun experience! I could smell the fresh air, and I saw a beautiful view of the island after going on a short hike to Finger Hill.
I have not traveled very far yet, but in two weeks, I will be going to Vietnam. Also, in May, I have a trip to Japan!
I usually get around using the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) or city bus. My dorm is not located near an MTR station, so I usually have to take the bus or minibus. The minibus is the worst form of transportation for foreigners because the drivers do not speak English. You would need to yell, "yau lok m goi", which means, "stop, please". Also, they drive in a very fast and concerning way, but it is the cheapest way to get around. I have also been taking the ferry to different islands, such as Lantau, Peng Chau and Kowloon, which is fun and scenic.
