On a sunny and warm rest day earlier this week a small group of us climbed, or "bouldered" up a big rock near our tents. We played music and laughed a lot. I gave my camera to one of the Sherpas and he took some funny pictures of me being a goofball.
I spent most of my down time this week writing in my own journal. I always keep a detailed journal on each mountaineering expedition or adventure that I go on. I also read some very nice emails from friends at home, too.
My friends and climbing partners "bouldered" on a big rock in Base Camp. I also did some weight-lifting exercises with heavy plastic bags that you fill with sand and rocks to make them heavier.
My older son graduates from high school in June. I will be home a few days beforehand. He sent me pictures this week as he was getting fitted for a tuxedo, which he will wear to his senior prom.
