Rwanda is small, but each part of the country is different. This creates an unusual experience for the people who live there because you and your friends may see very different things depending on where you live. For example, in the east, it is not common to see large hills or sheep because the area is flat and hot. But you do see many goats, because they can take the heat. In the west, though, sheep are really common, and you hardly see any goats. And the hills are so tall that sometimes the clouds are below you.
I think the most fascinating thing about Rwanda is that the country is so small (it's a little bit smaller than Maryland), but the environment is extremely different in each province in the country. The north is cold and rainy, and there are volcanoes. The east is flatter and hot, and there is not as much rain. The south and the west are the hilliest parts of the country. The west has the most rain out of any part of Rwanda, and there is a large lake, Lake Kivou that borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo (D.R.C.).
