Wow! I am blown away by how fast this semester flew by. As my journey in South Korea comes to a close, I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me on my adventures and learning all about life in Seoul. It’s unbelievable that it’s my final week studying abroad here in Seoul. I’m ready to come home to the United States, yet at the same time, I’m not ready to leave Korea.
With all my international friends that I made here, I traveled all over Korea from the bustling city life of Seoul to the beautiful beaches of Busan and Jeju Island to the SBS Super K-pop concert in Gwangju to the historic DMZ (Demilitarized Military Zone) and back to the heart of Seoul. Through following my experiences, I hope that you all enjoyed seeing the sights of Korea and feel inspired to come to Korea to study abroad when you’re in college too! I’ve learned a lot about myself and have grown to love the Korean culture, especially by developing a taste for spicy food.
I learned so much about Korean history and how it affects society through the classes that I took while studying abroad. My professors often tell me how brave it is to come to Korea with current world politics.
