Farewell From Costa Rica

I trusted that excitement, no matter how big the anxiety felt, and 4 months later, I am so glad that I did!

That is my message to you all. Try everything even if you are unsure about it. Explore the world, go to college and do the things that you never imagined yourself doing. When I was in Gilbert, I did not think I was going to college. No one in my family had done it and it was so foreign to me. In 4 weeks, I will be walking the stage and receiving my diploma from the University of Nevada, Reno. If I can do it, you can do it! We can do it together! I also highly recommend falling in love with traveling. Going to different countries allows you to learn about the world, how people live, different cultures and, most of all, it allows you to be kind to people: something our world needs right now.

The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship primarily funded my study abroad journey. These organizations help people achieve their goals and dreams. They saw the passion that I showed and helped me with the money aspect of traveling abroad. That is to say, no matter your background, there will always be people and organizations willing to help. Just by being you, they will see all the greatness you will achieve and be right by your side.

Thank you so much for hearing my stories on this crazy journey in Costa Rica.

See you guys later!
