Hey, everyone! I am so thankful to have matched with you all and to have had the chance to share my journey in Spain with you. I really hope that you all enjoyed the blog posts and photos that I took! I learned a lot just from speaking to you all, and it made me realize that doing a long journey like this is definitely worth it.
I have had a lot of highlights on this trip so far. For example, consider the food! I never would have believed the amount of ham that I have consumed within the past month. Another highlight has been eating the amazing Valencian paella! I love it, and it is by far my favorite dish here. One important thing that I have learned thus far is that learning a language is extremely difficult! However, it is not impossible! I've learned to enjoy the process of learning the language. I've stuck to the repetitive routine of very effective habits of reading daily, listening actively and going out and practicing the language with the locals. In order to learn something, I learned that I have to keep practicing and making mistakes.
When I was a student, I did not have this kind of experience and never had the opportunity to ask someone questions and follow their journey while they were abroad. You have inspired me, and I hope I have inspired you all as well.
