Food in South Korea

In Korea, it is common practice for the youngest person at the table to do all of the cooking, while those who are older have the responsibility of passing drinks around. Side items like kimchi and rice are shared amongst those at the table, rather than one person having a side all to themselves.

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

Korean BBQ is tied to the local environment through the feeling of community it brings. As discussed previously, Korean culture focuses strongly on community and the feeling of kindness within one's community. Korean BBQ is perhaps the best example of that principle, and showcases just how much people care for one another.
