With all of the bare branches, I can see the many bird nests that were hiding in the trees, but there are no longer any birds in them. It's nice to look at them on my walk to school and to think about how all of the birds have found warmer places.
Next summer, the Olympics are being held right here in Paris, so the entire city is being redone and cleaned to be ready for when the athletes arrive. Part of this effort is the cleaning of the Seine, the biggest river in Paris, so it can be ready for swimmers. Every day I see the river with boats carrying people and cargo, and I picture the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games with the river as the centerpiece.
