If you need glasses, your world with and without them looks quite different: one version is blurry and confusing while the other is clear and focused. Just like this, certain cultural practices are confusing if you don't adjust how you look at them, like religion, social standards and non-verbal communication. For instance, our American yes-gesture is nodding the head up and down. In Delhi, though, it is a side-to-side head bob. This was confusing to me, since this Indian yes looks like an American I'm not sure. With a little time and help, though, I learned how to adjust my perspective. This and many more adjustments help me see eye-to-eye with other people.
In your own life, try to keep you perspective-glasses handy. Can you connect what you see with something you already know? Do you need to adjust your focus? What are your blind-spots? Hopefully, doing these things will help you see crystal-clear.
