Dinner (Cena):
In Peru, people don’t usually eat a large dinner. Instead, they have something called lonche, which is more like a light evening snack. Gimena usually has bread with an egg and a cup of coffee.
Gimena’s house has three stories, and on the first floor, her aunt runs a small bar where she sells drinks. The house has three bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and even a guest room. Gimena has her own bedroom, and just outside, there’s a pig living in the yard!
Gimena’s chores include cleaning her room, helping tidy up around the house, and making sure she finishes her homework!
Gimena lives with her mom and her aunt. Her mom doesn’t work outside the home, and her aunt owns the bar downstairs where she sells drinks and snacks!
In the morning, school starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM.
Each day, she gets to school in a moto taxi, a small motorcycle-car hybrid that’s very common in Peru. She rides with her friend, and they go together every morning!
