In 6th grade, they have the option to pick a second foreign language, like French or Spanish.
At the school where Mrs. Wulf teaches, many of her students come from Turkish backgrounds, so a common name is Mohammad. Among families of German descent, common boys' names are Lucas and Maximilian/Max, and common girls' names are Anna, Lara, and Lea.
They don't usually have homework! They have a "work plan" that lists things they have to do each week, but they get time to finish their work during the school day. Their only occasional piece of homework is learning new English words.
