What type of money is used here?: In Switzerland, the official currency is the Swiss Franc, abbreviated as CHF. Here, coins are used for one, two, and five Francs. One Swiss Franc is worth just a tiny bit less than one US dollar.
How much does a bottle of water cost?: At my favorite Switzerland supermarket, Coop, a bottle of Evian water costs 2.10 CHF, which would be about $2.30 in America.
What was the best meal this week?: The best meal I had this week was a delicious feta and olive pizza. It was a pleasant and spontaneous stop for lunch, and I was able to share it with a friend. The pizza in Switzerland is fantastic, thanks to the influence of our Italian neighbors nearby.
What music did I listen to this week?: I often find comfort in listening to country music. It's my favorite genre and brings me a sense of home, even though I'm far away!
