The farthest I traveled this week was to Lauterbrunnen. The train ride was only about an hour and a half, and there is stunning scenery throughout the entire trip!
So far on this journey, the farthest I've traveled is back home to the US for my cousin's wedding and Easter. There is a direct flight from Boston to Zurich which is about 8 hours, and being able to celebrate with family made the journey worthwhile.
My main modes of transportation are buses, trains, trams and walking to get around. I do not have a car here, but the transportation in Switzerland makes it very easy to travel and explore.
I had the opportunity to try Gelateria di Berna for the first time, which is a gelato shop with multiple locations in Bern. Gelato is a very smooth, dense kind of ice cream. I've heard amazing things about it, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The gelato was delicious, and I will definitely be returning back often.
